Artist Statement

My artistic practice explores the fine line between reality and imagination, between the external world and the inner journey to oneself. Rooted in the idea of a "new sincerity," I create enchanted worlds where familiar landmarks dissolve, allowing metaphor, symbolism, and sensory experience to take their place.
The forest in my works is both a space of trials and transformation and a metaphor for the subconscious. In this space, the viewer—like a child—loses familiar landmarks and embarks on a journey of self-discovery. I am inspired by the ambivalence of this image: the forest is at once cozy and disturbing, protective and frightening. This tension between joy and anxiety forms the emotional core of my work.
Through the strategy of myth-making, I craft fictional worlds where reality and imagination intertwine. Myth-making allows me to immerse myself in a state of uncertainty, creating both protective and critical models of the world. These models help viewers intuitively process their own experiences through universal archetypes.
My works are "inner mythologies," stories in which the viewer recognizes themselves. Through these images, they encounter their own questions and emotions, diving into the familiar yet mysterious world of the subconscious, where reality and imagination merge.
Color plays a vital role in my art, acting as a conduit for emotions and energy. For me, color is not simply an element of composition; it is a way to engage in a sensory dialogue with the viewer, stirring emotional responses and shaping an atmosphere where joy coexists with anxiety and comfort with mystery.
